On this Indigenous Peoples' Day, we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous communities. As we reflect, we also acknowledge the very real trauma many Indigenous peoples have endured, both historically and today. We recognize the importance of accessible, affirming mental health services that respect each individual’s lived experience.

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of the Interior placed portions of the Shab-eh-nay Reservation land into trust for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, affirming it as the only federally recognized Reservation in Illinois. Learn more about this important milestone here.
